Megan and Peter - Fiji
Peter Hagedorn and Megan Tate met on an online dating site. Their first date at Cicero’s on The Loop went “so, so” and was probably not aided by Peter’s undeniably charming first words to Megan: “You’re huge”. Not meant as an insult in any way, Peter was nervous to be out with a woman as beautiful as Megan. But, Megan gave him a second date where Peter relaxed and opened up.
After only a handful of dates, Peter had to return to sea as a merchant sailor for three months. While Peter was at sea they e-mailed each other every day, and Peter called international when he was in port. The distance between them did not deter their relationship, and Peter proposed the day after taking Megan to game 7 of the World Series.
They will marry Labor Day weekend, September 1st, 2012. Shortly after, they will honeymoon at the Matamanoa Island Resort in Fiji.
