What A Travel Agent Can Do That Google Can't

Planning a trip has never been easier, and somehow, it's never been more overwhelming. Between endless Google searches, conflicting reviews, and hundreds of hotel options, planning a trip can quickly turn into a full-time job. That’s where a travel advisor makes all the difference. A travel agent gives you personalized expertise, support, and real travel experience that helps turn a stressful planning process into a seamless travel experience.

Personalized Recommendations & Saving You Time

Google gives everyone the same search results, while a travel advisor provides recommendations tailored to you. We take your budget, personal needs and preferences, travel style, and must-have experiences into account. Whether you are looking for a river cruise, luxury dining, safari experiences, or easy airport transfers, our agents will coordinate all the details to create your perfect trip. Planning a trip can take hours, even days of research. A travel advisor does the research for you, comparing flights, resorts, transfer options, excursions, travel requirements, and more. Instead of opening never-ending browser tabs, simply tell us what you’re looking for and let us create options that fit your needs. We can create a customized trip you won’t just find in a search bar.

Real Experience, Insider Knowledge, and Exclusive Offers

A travel advisor can share firsthand experience and trusted industry insight. We know which resorts truly deliver luxury, which excursions are worth it, and which destinations are the best during different seasons. Our travel agents stay updated on destinations, resorts, cruise lines, and promotions every day. Using a travel advisor often comes with added value. We help to make sure you are getting the best overall value, not just the lowest price. Our agents may have access to room upgrades, exclusive promotions, group rates, VIP experiences, and more. Our knowledge can save you from booking a trip that looks amazing online but in reality, disappoints.

Help When Things Go Wrong

One of the biggest differences between booking online yourself and using a travel agent is having someone to help if plans change. When flights get cancelled, weather causes delays, or unexpected issues happen during travel, you have someone to help navigate it all, rather than spending hours on hold with customer service. Having someone answer questions during travel disruptions can make a huge difference and save you hours of stress. Our agents can provide you with peace of mind throughout your entire travel experience.

Why Book with Brentwood Travel?

Not all travel advisors are the same, and experience matters. Brentwood Travel has been helping families, couples, and corporate clients plan exceptional trips since 1957, making us one of the most established travel agencies in the St. Louis area. As a third-generation, women-owned business, we bring decades of relationships, industry knowledge, and genuine passion for travel to every itinerary we build. Our advisors have cultivated deep connections with top cruise lines, tour operators, hotels, and destination specialists around the world, connections that translate directly into better service, exclusive offers, and access that you won't find on your own. And when something unexpected comes up mid-trip, our 24-hour emergency line means you always have someone to call.

When you book with Brentwood Travel, you're not just another transaction. You're working with a real team, in a real office, that has spent generations doing this and takes your trip personally. Stop by, call, or email us — however you prefer to connect, we're here.

A travel advisor is a real person invested in making your trip unforgettable. Our agents can take the stress out of planning and turn your endless search results into a personalized experience that fits your budget, travel style, and needs. While finding extra perks to handling the details you didn’t even think about, we make sure your trip is seamless from start to finish, so you can spend less time planning and more time traveling.

Packing for a trip can feel overwhelming — pack too little and you're scrambling, pack too much and you're dragging a suitcase that weighs more than you do. After years of helping travelers get where they're going, we've put together the packing list we actually stand behind. Not the exhaustive, bring-everything-including-the-kitchen-sink kind — the smart, been-there-done-that kind.

My family just returned from our Walt Disney World Vacation a few weeks ago, and we had an amazing trip. But unfortunately, I have heard from many of my friends & family who have also taken trips to Disney, and did not have the best time. I think going to Disney nowadays takes a lot of planning and research prior to your trip so that you don’t spend your whole day waiting in lines and not having a gameplan. That’s why I highly recommend you should use a travel agent who specializes in Disney so that you can make the best of your trip. If you’re interested in having the best Disney World trip possible, keep reading!

At Brentwood Travel, we pride ourselves on curating unforgettable experiences for our clients. Recently, Travel Advisor Allison Roth sent her clients on a Viking cruise through Norway's stunning fjords and into the Arctic Circle - a journey in search of the magical Northern Lights. The journey began with an unexpected change of plans. As anyone who travels knows, the weather can be unpredictable, especially when sailing from Barcelona to the UK. Due to challenging weather conditions, the Viking Neptune was unable to dock at Tilbury for embarkation day. Instead of boarding at 11:00 AM as scheduled, guests were treated to a three-hour visit to an art museum in London before being transported to Portsmouth, where they embarked at 9:00 PM. While this meant missing the Amsterdam port stop entirely, Viking responded by providing compensation of $125 per person and refunding excursion costs. It's a good reminder that cruise lines like Viking work hard to accommodate guests when Mother Nature intervenes. Below is the review they shared with Allison about their incredible adventure.
