2024 Travel Resolutions
When you work in the travel industry your resolution list doesn't always include just diet and exercise; instead, it's where to travel next! Some of our staff members have shared where they have planned to travel and hope to travel in 2024. We wish everyone a Happy New Year and we hope you complete your travel resolutions, too!

At Brentwood Travel, we pride ourselves on curating unforgettable experiences for our clients. Recently, Travel Advisor Allison Roth sent her clients on a Viking cruise through Norway's stunning fjords and into the Arctic Circle - a journey in search of the magical Northern Lights. The journey began with an unexpected change of plans. As anyone who travels knows, the weather can be unpredictable, especially when sailing from Barcelona to the UK. Due to challenging weather conditions, the Viking Neptune was unable to dock at Tilbury for embarkation day. Instead of boarding at 11:00 AM as scheduled, guests were treated to a three-hour visit to an art museum in London before being transported to Portsmouth, where they embarked at 9:00 PM. While this meant missing the Amsterdam port stop entirely, Viking responded by providing compensation of $125 per person and refunding excursion costs. It's a good reminder that cruise lines like Viking work hard to accommodate guests when Mother Nature intervenes. Below is the review they shared with Allison about their incredible adventure.

This was their first time experiencing a Globus tour and visiting some of the biggest National Parks in Arizona & Utah. Because visiting the National Parks on a guided tour is so much different than doing it on your own, they wanted to detail their experience day by day for others that are interested in a trip like this.

Next year, director Christopher Nolan is set to release his biggest and most expensive film to date with an estimated budget of $250 million. He will be retelling Homer’s The Odyssey , which is believed to be over 2,700 years old, and one of the only remaining stories to survive the burning of the Library of Alexandria. Now considered a classic and taught in English classes around the world, The Odyssey is an important story to tell, and Nolan has big expectations to meet – especially after winning Best Picture for Oppenheimer in 2024. With such a star-studded cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson, Mia Goth, and more, The Odyssey is sure to draw in crowds. It is also expected to lead to an increase in tourism to some of the stunning locations already confirmed for filming and currently in production.
